London-based smartphone company Kazam, which was set up by former HTC executives Michael Coombes and James Atkins earlier this year, has announced more details about its management team. There are now 30 people working at Kazam.
Frank Jensen, a previous Brightpoint vice president, is the organisation’s Chief Operating Officer. Stefan Schietaert - formerly of Motorola, Toshiba and Ericsson - is European Customer Care and Service Director, while former Panasonic engineer Daniel Boff is now Kazam’s Head of Products and ex-Lycamobile Sales Director Rakesh Odedra has joined Kazam to run its sales operation.
Michael Coombes, CEO of Kazam, said “We are pleased to announce a strong and experienced team to support the European launch of Kazam’s first range of mobile phones next month. We are confident these strategic appointments bring the skills, expertise & local knowledge that is needed to successfully launch a new mobile phone brand.”
According to Chief Marketing Officer James Atkins, Kazam is aiming to “disrupt the current status quo by delivering quality phones at accessible prices underpinned by excellent customer service.”
