Alcatel OneTouch has announced what it describes as “the first wearable smartphone for music and fitness fans”.
The Pop Fit is a dual-core Android device with a 2.8-inch screen. It weighs just 78g and is designed to be worn with an armband.
As well as having the RunKeeper activity tracking application pre-installed, the Alcatel OneTouch Pop Fit is supplied with JBL earphones and a transparent flip cover with control keys.
Dan Dery, Chief Marketing Officer for Alcatel OneTouch, said “The Pop Fit is the perfect companion for an active lifestyle. It’s all too easy to weigh yourself down with all manner of bands, monitors and music players. Pop Fit takes the fuss out of staying fit by combining essential smartphone, fitness and music features in a single, wearable device.”
Two other Android-based smartphones have been announced by Alcatel OneTouch: the Idol 2 and the Idol 2 Mini. There’ll also be 4G versions of each, designated by an ‘S’ suffix.
