RIM announces BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 for businesses

It’s just a week to go before Research In Motion reveals new smartphones running its BlackBerry 10 operating system. Ahead of that, the company has made its new BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 mobile management system available for businesses.

The new package includes device management, security and mobile application management for BlackBerry smartphones and PlayBook tablets. It’s compatible with the forthcoming BlackBerry 10 smartphones and can also be used to manage company-owned or employee-owned Android and iOS devices that are connected to a company network.

Peter Devenyi, Senior Vice President for Enterprise Software at RIM, said “BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 empowers employees to be more productive and better equipped to serve customers while it provides business and IT leaders with the confidence that corporate data is protected and manageable in the same way they have long enjoyed with BlackBerry. BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 makes mobility easy for businesses to help keep them moving.”
