Three says it’s launching a new service that’ll offer voice and SMS text services via WiFi to UK customers. The service, which is called Three inTouch, will be available from early August.
Three inTouch will be available as a free app.
Customers will be able to use their monthly allowance or prepaid credit (depending on their tariff) to make or receive calls. It means that customers in areas without conventional mobile phone coverage will be able to stay in touch.
A similar service from EE is scheduled to launch in the autumn.
