Cortado, which offers cloud-based desktop services, has enhanced its Cortado Corporate Server with new features for Android business users. The Corporate Server platform enables mobile devices to be integrated into IT infrastructures, allowing business users to access their corporate network, create PDF and ZIP files, print documents from their handset and even send faxes.
Version 5.3 of the new Cortado Corporate Server now lets business users synchronise documents with their corporate network. It means that an individual can work on a shared document using their Android smartphone or tablet without needing to send updates to their colleagues.
In addition, Cortado Corporate Server now enables a mobile connection to Microsoft Access databases, allowing reports to be created and queried from a smartphone or tablet.
Thorsten Hesse, Manager of Innovative Products at Cortado, said “These features are a quantum leap when it comes to using Android devices within enterprises. Employees’ productivity, response times and their ability to react are all greatly improved. And with the ability to collect data on the go, Cortado Corporate Server is the ideal solution for all mobile employees needing to collect, edit and evaluate invoice related data.”
We spoke to Cortado CEO Carsten Mickeleit about cloud-based mobile printing at Mobile World Congress in February. You can listen to the full interview on our website, via iTunes or by downloading the MP3 file. |
