9% break up by text message but only 1% propose

Mobile consultancy iGR has published the results of a survey that asked US consumers about the text messages they’d sent in the last month. 9% of consumers have sent an SMS message that was intended to end a relationship or cancel a date, while 7% of consumers admitted receiving such a message. 1% of respondents had proposed marriage by text and, perhaps unsurprisingly, 1% had received a proposal of marriage. iGR also said that two men and one woman had asked for a divorce via SMS in the last month and two men said they’d recently received a text message asking for a divorce.
