Remember the “My First Sony” product range from the 1980s? Brightly-coloured electronics products designed for children? Well, Sony Ericsson is echoing that marketing campaign with its newest mobile phone.
Headed “More music and more fun with your first Walkman phone”, the press release for the Sony Ericsson W205 tells us it’s “perfect for those who love portable music but have never had the Walkman phone experience”. It’s a dual-band slide-open device with FM radio and 1.3 megapixel camera – plus a multiple phonebook function that lets people share the phone while keeping a separate contacts list for each user.
