Scoopt, which acted as a photo agency for people who took newsworthy pictures on their cameraphones, has closed. The company was set up in 2005 and was bought by Getty Images a couple of years ago. In a statement on its website it says "We remain convinced that there is a demand for this kind of material as part of an editorial product, but for the moment we are choosing to focus our energies within Getty Images on our core products in news sport and entertainment."
