Hutchison Whampoa’s INQ Mobile has launched two new social-focussed phones to follow the acclaimed INQ1 ‘Facebook phone’. The INQ Chat 3G has a QWERTY keypad, while the INQ Mini 3G includes Twitter, Gmail and desktop media sync as well as Facebook, Skype and Instant Messaging. Both are described as offering “high-spec functionality without the hefty price tag”.
The Twitter application for both devices has been designed to be ‘always on’ after the initial login, while the media synchronisation from doubleTwist syncs music from iTunes and Windows Media Player. They’ll be on sale by the end of this year. [Press release]
