Ad-funded UK MVNO Ovivo increases the value of its free mobile tariffs

UK virtual network Ovivo has revised its tariffs for smartphones and tablets. The ad-funded MVNO now offers 200 minutes of UK calls, 300 text messages and 500MB of mobile data every month for no charge on its ‘Freedom 0’ tariff. Instead of paying a monthly fee, customers are shown online advertisements and will also receive some text message ads. Alternatively, a ‘Data 0’ tariff provides 750MB of data but no voice or text allowance.

These new tariffs are available alongside a number of chargeable tariffs with larger monthly allowances. However, the free allowance of Ovivo-to-Ovivo calls, which was available on older tariffs, has been removed from the new tariffs. The company’s older animal-themed price plans have also been withdrawn for new customers.
