Fresh from its deal last month to buy French telecoms business SFR, the Numericable Group is now negotiating to acquire Virgin Mobile France.
According to a statement by Carphone Warehouse, which owns 46% of the holding company, all the holding company shareholders have entered into an exclusivity agreement with Numericable. If the deal goes ahead, the Virgin Mobile France virtual mobile network would be sold “for an enterprise value of €325 million” (£265 million).
Here in the UK, Carphone Warehouse recently agreed to merge its business with Dixons Group into a new company called Dixons Carphone plc.
