Patent management and licensing business Sisvel International has acquired more than 450 patents and applications originally filed by Nokia. The patents and patent applications, which form 47 ‘patent families’, cover technologies used in a wide range of mobile communications devices and services.
Nokia is licensed under the portfolio as part of the acquisition.

The US International Trade Commission has ruled that certain Motorola Mobility products infringe on a Microsoft patent. Microsoft had said that several of its patents were affected, although the ITC said Motorola has only violated one of them.
