Mark Hurd – the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of HP – resigned on Friday. He's been replaced on an interim basis by the company's CFO, Cathie Lesjak. Ms Lesjak says she doesn't want the permanent CEO role but will serve as interim CEO until a new chief executive has been found.

Hewlett-Packard, which announced a takeover of Palm earlier this year, says future HP smartphones will only run the webOS operating system.
In an interview with CNBC, HP Executive Vice President Todd Bradley said his company will continue to work with Microsoft but will only use the Palm-designed webOS for new smartphone devices.
