Nokia has published interim results for its April-June financial period and also for the first half of 2013.
Net sales for the quarter were down 24% year-on-year to €5.7 billion (£4.9 billion).

Nokia has announced a new Windows 8 smartphone that’ll launch this month in the USA and will start arriving in Europe later this quarter.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 has a 41 megapixel sensor that enables it to take a 38 megapixel image. In addition, it creates a separate 5 megapixel image at the same time.

The UK is beginning its week with news of a long-awaited sporting victory for Andy Murray. The telecoms world had its own much-anticipated good news last week, when European roaming rates fell again. And regardless of Neelie Kroes’ plans to abolish roaming rates completely, there’ll definitely be another roaming cut in 2014.
