Microsoft has announced two new additions to its family of Surface tablets.

The Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 will be available in the UK from 22nd October, along with a range of new accessories.

Google makes Quickoffice productivity app free for Android and iOS

Google has made the Quickoffice productivity app free for Android and Apple iOS devices.

Quickoffice, which enables users to update Microsoft Office documents from a mobile device, was acquired by Google last year.

Microsoft to buy Nokia's Devices and Services business

Microsoft and Nokia have agreed a deal that’ll see Microsoft buying almost all of Nokia’s Devices & Services business, including the Mobile Phones and Smart Devices business units as well as the Lumia brand.

It’ll also license Nokia’s patents and use Nokia’s mapping services.
