Microsoft has announced its fourth quarter and full-year financial results.
Quarterly revenue was up 10% year-on-year to $19.90 billion (£13.01 billion), while annual revenue was up 6% to $77.85 billion (£50.91 billion).

ABI Research has calculated that more than 39 million tablets were shipped worldwide during the first quarter of 2013.
It’s the second-highest figure ever recorded by the company, only beaten by the final quarter of 2012.

The eighth annual Millward Brown Optimor BrandZ Top 100 ranking of the most valuable global brands still has Apple at the top, despite a slight drop in the total value of technology brands.
Apple’s brand value was calculated at $185 billion, just 1% up from 2012. Google retained second place but closed the gap slightly.
