Technology manufacturer Dell has moved from being a publicly-traded company to a privately-owned business this week.
Michael Dell, who founded the company and is its current CEO, has worked with investment firm Silver Lake Partners to complete a deal valued at approximately $24.9 billion.

Google has announced a new Nexus smartphone that’s been developed in partnership with LG.
The Nexus 5 has a 4.95-inch HD display, offers 4G connectivity and combines a 8 megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation. It runs Android on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.3GHz processor.

Launching the BlackBerry BBM messaging and social networking application for Android and Apple iOS devices has resulted in more than 20 million new users joining the service, pushing the total number of monthly active BBM users to over 80 million people.
In fact, the Android and iPhone apps had more than 10 million downloads in the first 24 hours of their official release.
