Almost three years after Tizen was announced as a successor to the MeeGo platform, Samsung has announced its first commercially available Tizen-powered smartphone.
The Samsung Z runs Tizen v2.2.1 on a 2.3GHz quad-core processor.

Samsung has announced its next generation of ‘smart watch’ devices: the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. They follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy Gear, which was launched last September.
Both are based on the Tizen operating system.

It's our last podcast of the year, which is the traditional time for us to predict what'll be happening in the mobile phone industry during the next 12 months... from forthcoming consumer technology to deals between network operators.
As well as making our 2014 predictions, we'll also be reviewing those we made last year and discovering how accurate our forecasts for 2013 really were.
