Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones revealed at Mobile World Congress 2016

Samsung Electronics has revealed its new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge Android smartphones in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress 2016.

Both are equipped with a ‘Dual Pixel’ camera for faster autofocus, are waterproof (IP68 rating), are equipped with wireless charging technology and have a microSD memory card slot.

Only 16 masts installed via UK Mobile Infrastructure Project

The UK Government’s £150 million Mobile Infrastructure Project has only seen 16 masts installed since it launched – despite its original ambition to cover around 600 sites.

Most of the budget remains unspent.

BT and EE merger is cleared by UK competition authority

BT and EE merger is cleared by UK competition authority

The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has cleared the potential £12.5 billion sale of EE to BT. A provisional decision was announced in October last year.

It means that the BT/EE merger is now likely to be completed on 29th January.

Hello Moto, goodbye Motorola

Lenovo will stop branding mobile phones as 'Motorola' later this year, according to a report on CNET.

Apparently the mobile phones will now be described as 'Moto by Lenovo', although the Motorola name will remain as a division of Lenovo.
