Microsoft joins the Power Matters Alliance wireless charging group

The Power Matters Alliance (PMA) has announced that Microsoft Corporation is its newest member.

Originally formed in 2012, PMA is an organisation working towards global interoperability for wireless charging. Board members currently include AT&T, Duracell, Starbucks and the US Government’s Energy Star programme.

Nokia expects its Microsoft deal to be completed on Friday 25th April

Nokia has issued a statement about its mobile phone deal with Microsoft, which was first revealed seven months ago in September 2013.

It says the €5.44 billion sale is expected to be completed on 25th April 2014.

Mozilla appoints former Chief Marketing Officer Chris Beard as interim CEO

Mozilla has appointed Chris Beard to its board of directors and has also awarded him the position of interim CEO.

Previous CEO Brendan Eich stepped down earlier this month after criticism of his personal beliefs.
