Orange's move into mobile contactless services has continued with the launch of the Samsung Wave 578. It's an NFC-equipped handset running Samsung’s bada 1.1 operating system.
The Samsung Wave 578 will appear first on Orange networks in Spain, Poland and France before being rolled out to other European countries. However, Orange UK won't be offering this particular device.

Samsung launched its Galaxy S II smartphone in Barcelona on Sunday night, just a few hours before the official opening of Mobile World Congress.
It’ll be equipped with a Dual Core Processor and a 4.3-inch super AMOLED screen, yet will be less than 8.5mm deep. An 8 megapixel camera and full 1080p HD recording help to complete the spec.

Visa Europe and Wireless Dynamics have developed a mobile payment solution that’ll enable customers to use an iPhone for contactless payments.
It’s based on the Wireless Dynamics iCarte accessory, which will be supplied by participating banks and mobile operators.

Everything Everywhere is launching a contactless mobile payment service later this year. It'll use the Orange brand and will operate in partnership with Barclaycard.
The two companies already offer a contactless NFC credit card.
