Samsung Electronics has filed preliminary injunction motions in the Tokyo District Court of Japan and the New South Wales Registry in Australia, asking for an immediate injunction preventing the sale of Apple’ s iPhone 4S.
The move follows similar motions earlier this month in France and Italy. In addition, Samsung has asked the Australian court to overturn its recent preliminary injunction against the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Following legal action by Apple, Australia’s Federal Court has ordered an interim injunction against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. As a result, the Samsung device is unlikely ever to be launched in Australia.
It’s claimed that the Galaxy Tab infringes two patents affecting touchscreen operation.

Vodafone Global Enterprise – the part of Vodafone that manages the communications needs of larger multinational customers – has acquired two telecom expense management companies: Quickcomm, based in Australia, and TnT Expense Management from the USA. It says these two acquisitions will propel Vodafone into being a leading TEM company for multinational organisations. The total deal has been valued at $9.7 million (just over £6 million).
