Rugged phone manufacturer Sonim Technologies has launched a special version of its XP3 handset that can be combined with a new 'lone worker' safety solution.
The Sonim XP3 Sentinel offers the company's usual ultra-touch specifications: it can be dropped from 2 metres onto concrete, will survive in a metre of water for up to 30 minutes and can operate in temperatures from -20 to +55 Celsius.

It's called the Xtreme Performance 2 and is equipped with a 3-megapixel camera, a 2-inch scratch-resistant display and a tough, waterproof casing.

Nokia says its new rugged Nokia 3720 classic will be available this summer following a recent online video 'teaser' campaign. The IP-54 certified mobile phone is designed to resist water, dust and shock thanks to a locking battery cover and a sealed casing. It's equipped with a 1GB memory card, a 2 megapixel camera, a 2.2-inch display and an LED flashlight.
