New Good Technology services help companies move to a 'BYOD' scheme

Good Technology, which offers secure technical solutions that enable employees to use their personal smartphones at work, has started providing professional services to help businesses move to a ‘Bring Your Own Device’ scheme.

The two new programmes are simply called BYOD Policy Construction and Transition Services. They’re aimed at organisations that want to take advantage of a BYOD programme but are unsure of the business, legal, financial and HR implications.

OnAir and Inmarsat plan 50Mbps mobile broadband on aircraft in a couple of years

In-flight GSM and WiFi connection specialist OnAir has signed an agreement with mobile satellite communications business Inmarsat to provide high-speed broadband connectivity for the aeronautical market.

It’ll make OnAir the first Aviation Distribution Partner for Inmarsat’s ultra-fast Ka-band Global Xpress network.

New chair and CEO for the Small Cell Forum

The Small Cell Forum, the independent association that supports ‘small cell’ deployment to enhance mobile network coverage, has appointed Gordon Mansfield as its new Chairman.

It’s also announced a new Executive Board and has introduced a new role of full-time CEO, appointing Graham Wright to this position.

MoneyGram works with Gemalto to offer money transfers on mobile devices

Money transfer company MoneyGram has announced an agreement that’ll see its services provided over Gemalto’s LinqUs Mobile Money solution.

It means customers will be able to send international money transfers from a mobile phone to one of MoneyGram’s 284,000 locations worldwide or, alternatively, to receive transfers directly to their mobile wallet.
