The Mobile Marketing Association has announced the winners of the 7th Annual Global Mobile Marketing Awards for Innovation, Creativity and Leadership; awards that are now known (and trademarked) as The Smarties.
There are a total of 56 winners of awards designed to recognise the best mobile marketing from around the world.

London-based mobile music recognition service Shazam has raised $32 million in new funding. The money will be used to help the company grow and develop its mobile applications.
Shazam is approaching 150 million users worldwide and is on course to achieve 250 million users within two years.

Music discovery service Shazam has announced its first corporate acquisition.
Technology from California-based Tunezee is being added to the Shazam Encore app, enabling users to view song lyrics synchronised in real-time with the music they are listening to. It's currently available for more than 25,000 songs.

Music discovery service Shazam has updated its free Android app with unlimited tagging, thanks to sponsorship from eBay.
The free Shazam app – which had previously come with five free 'tags' per month - will be unlimited until 1st January 2012.
