One in ten UK primary school children has an iPhone

One in ten children under the age of 10 owns an iPhone, according to a UK survey from cloud-based internet security company Westcoastcloud.

In addition, one in twenty primary school children now own an iPad. The research also shows that one in ten parents feel it’s OK for a child as young as 4 to own a mobile phone.

Not all mystery shopping is a complete mystery

If you’ve worked in retail, you’re probably aware of the ‘mystery shopper’. This is someone who appears to be a regular consumer but is actually reviewing your performance. Perhaps they’re working for your employer, maybe they’re conducting an independent survey, they may even be reporting for a magazine or newspaper. But they’re about as welcome as a knock on the front door when you’re at home in the shower.

Android's dominance is threatened by Windows Phone 7, says report

Android is the preferred operating system among current smartphone owners and those who intend to buy a new smartphone in the next six months, according to the Connected Intelligence service from The NPD Group.

Not only is Android generating more interest than any other OS (63%) but it’s also the platform consumers are ‘most interested in’. In fact, at least half of all smartphone purchases for the past three quarters have been Android devices.
