French telecoms company MobiWire - formerly Sagem Wireless - appears to have filed for insolvency.
Court documents show receivership ("redressement judiciaire") being pronounced on 28th April and papers being issued today, with a hearing set for 23rd June 2011.

This year's Vodafone Mobile Clicks contest has been announced at The Next Web conference in Amsterdam, with a closing date for entries of 12th June 2011.
Almost any mobile-focussed start-up in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain or Turkey can compete for the €225,000 prize fund. The competition is open to companies that are less than three years old.

Huawei has filed lawsuits in Germany, France and Hungary against ZTE Corporation for patent and trade mark infringement.
It claims that ZTE is infringing a number of Huawei's patents relating to data card and LTE technologies and also says ZTE has even used a Huawei-registered trademark on some of its data card products.

Music discovery service Shazam has updated its free Android app with unlimited tagging, thanks to sponsorship from eBay.
The free Shazam app – which had previously come with five free 'tags' per month - will be unlimited until 1st January 2012.

Nokia Siemens Networks has completed its acquisition of wireless network assets from Motorola Solutions, paying $975 million in cash. Around 6,900 employees will be joining Nokia Siemens Networks.
Responsibility for supporting customers of Motorola Solutions' GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, WiMAX and LTE products and services - a total of 50 operator customers in 52 countries - has been transferred to Nokia Siemens Networks.
