ABI Research has calculated that the Apple iPad accounted for 85% of media tablets shipped in 2010.
In second place was the Samsung Galaxy Tab with about 8% market share, followed by the Archos Internet Tablet range at 2%.

Pete Warden and Alasdair Allan have told the Where 2.0 conference in San Francisco that Apple's iPhone monitors and records its location as it's used.
It appears that the phone's latitude and longitude, along with the time, are stored in a file that can be synchronised with the user's computer.

Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications has published its results for the first quarter of 2011.
8.1 million devices were shipped in Q1 2011, compared with 10.5 million during the same quarter in 2010. However, the average selling price and gross margin were both up.
