Quarterly results for UK mobile network EE show that its 4G customer has quadrupled year-on-year to 5.6 million connections; that’s up 1.4 million from the previous quarter.
The company says this now gives it the biggest 4G base of any European mobile operator.

EE is offering customers 100MB of mobile data every month if they buy a ‘pay as you go’ 4G smartphone or 4G tablet for Christmas.
The offer is open until 28th December 2014 for smartphone purchases and 31st January 2015 for tablets.

UK telecoms operator EE has launched a new home TV service that lets customers use smartphones and tablets as remote controls for their home television.
EE TV, which will be available later this autumn, is based on a ‘smart box’ that plugs into a TV set via an HDMI socket. It’s equipped with a 1TB hard drive for recording, along with 4 Freeview tuners and WiFi connectivity.
