Last year we reported on the creation of Facebook Places, a location-sharing service that allows users to 'check in' to places they visit.
Today Facebook has added to the service with the announcement of Facebook Deals in the UK.

Qype, which offers user-generated reviews and recommendations for locations across Europe, has just acquired its millionth member.
Those members have written more than 1.5 million public reviews covering places, events and experiences in 159,000 European towns and cities.

Figures from Strategy Analytics show that almost 10 million tablet devices were shipped worldwide in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Three-quarters of these were Apple devices, although Android captured 22% of the global market.

Over 90% of the UK population has a mobile, and the seemingly non-stop developments in mobile technology are doing a great job in satisfying the UK’s thirst for anything that provides a quicker, more efficient (or in some cases, more fun) way of doing things.
