Amazon Kindle eBook reader coming to the UK

The Amazon Kindle electronic book reader has been launched worldwide, two years after it was announced in the USA. From later this month it’ll be available to order for $279.00 (around £220 by the time you’ve paid postage and import duty) from Amazon.com’s US website, with the company promising to introduce it on Amazon.co.uk in the future. The new ‘world’ version of the Kindle will use 3G technology for downloads, enabling consumers to browse and buy books directly from the device. Full details of charging and UK coverage haven't been revealed yet.
