Samsung’s unveiled a new tablet at this week’s CTIA Wireless show in the United States. Just over a month ago it announced the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Barcelona... and it’s now added to the range with the Galaxy Tab 8.9. (The figures refer to the screen size in inches).
In fact, a closer look reveals that the Tab 10.1 has changed since Barcelona. It’s now noticeably thinner - both new tablets are 8.6mm thin - and is fractionally lighter as well. The Tab 8.9 weighs 470g while the larger model is 595g. Both run 1GHz dual-core processors.
The company’s first Android-powered tablet, which went on sale last year, is a 7-inch device. It’s not yet known when the new tablets will be available.
