Archos puts Android in cordless phones and internet radios

ARCHOS, originally best-known for its portable music and video players before moving into Android tablets, has just announced two new Android devices for the home.

The ARCHOS 35 Smart Home Phone is an Android-powered DECT cordless phone. It offers contact-sharing with Android mobile handsets along with access to Android apps, the internet and email. Pricing is expected to be £129 when the touch-screen phone hits stores in September.

Meanwhile, the ARCHOS 35 Home Connect uses WiFi to stream music and internet radio stations. It’ll also function as an alarm clock and can even be used for video calls. Availability is expected in September with a retail price of £119.
