ExclusiveOfcom publishes ‘Easy Read’ mobile phone guide for people with learning difficulties

Telecoms regulator Ofcom has become the first UK regulatory body to publish consumer advice in the ‘Easy Read’ format, which is designed to be more accessible to people with learning difficulties.

The ‘How to use your mobile phone’ guide meets current European and UK Government standards for making written information easily understandable. It includes details about mobile phone handsets, different types of contract agreement, free services for disabled customers and how to complain.

ExclusiveSpectrum shortage looms for the UK, says Real Wireless

Wireless consultancy Real Wireless says the UK is is likely to suffer a spectrum crunch in 2020 unless more bandwidth is made available for mobile and WiFi services.

Around 300MHz more cellular spectrum and 350MHz more WiFi spectrum is required, according to the company.

ExclusiveDoro sells five million mobile phones worldwide

Easy-to-use mobile phone manufacturer Doro says it’s now sold five million handsets worldwide.

The Swedish company exceeded four million sales in May this year and launched its Liberto 810 smartphone in September.
