Digital coupons reveal differences between iPhone and Android users

In what looks likely to be the daftest news story this week, US-based digital coupon company Coupons.com has described iPhone users as chicken-eating fish lovers and Android users as pork-eating bird lovers.

It's analysed the data from its Grocery iQ shopping list application, which allows users to combine shopping lists on their smartphone with digital coupons for savings.

Coupons.com says iPhone users downloaded more coupons for women's body wash than coupons for male products, while Android users favoured men’s body wash. Similarly, iPhone users wanted chicken while Android users wanted pork, iPhone users wanted multi-surface cleaner while Android users focussed on toilet bowls, and iPhone users bought fish food while Android users bought bird food.
