Google has announced the latest version of its Chromebook computers, adding a high-quality touch-sensitive display and the option of 4G connectivity.
The Chromebook is a laptop-type device that runs on Google’s Chrome operating system and relies on cloud storage.
Customers in the USA and the UK can now buy the WiFi-enabled version of the Chromebook Pixel, which is priced at £1,049 ($1,299). It has an aluminium alloy body, a backlit keyboard, an Intel i5 processor and a 239 pixels-per-inch 12.85-inch screen.
A version that also includes a 4G LTE connection will be available in the USA from April.
