GSMA confirms Anne Bouverot as its new leader

The GSMA, the global trade organisation that represents the interests of mobile operators, has announced the appointment of Anne Bouverot as Director General. She’ll lead the GSMA from 1st September when current CEO Rob Conway leaves the organisation.

Ms Bouverot was most recently Executive Vice President of Mobile Services for France Telecom Orange and has served on the GSMA’s board as a representative of her employer.

Franco Bernabe, Chairman of the GSMA Board, said “Anne brings to the GSMA a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in the highly dynamic mobile industry. She has a deep understanding of the opportunities and the challenges facing mobile operators today, and will leverage this as she leads the GSMA in driving strategic programmes and initiatives for the benefit of its membership. I'm very proud to welcome Anne as the new leader for the GSMA.”
