The social network’s user base is increasing; daily active users for September 2013 were 728 million people (up 25% year-on-year) and monthly active users were up 18% to 1.19 billion.

Mobile monthly active users were 874 million at the end of September, an 45% year-on-year increase.

Advertising revenue from advertising was $1.80 billion (up 66%) for the quarter, with mobile advertising revenue accounting for around 49% of this total.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook co-founder and CEO, said “For nearly ten years, Facebook has been on a mission to connect the world. The strong results we achieved this quarter show that we're prepared for the next phase of our company, as we work to bring the next five billion people online and into the knowledge economy.”
