Mobile voice revenue will peak next year

The annual growth in revenue from mobile voice calls will stop next year, according to a new report from ABI Research. Its latest forecast predicts a decline from 2011, with a 9.6% drop expected by 2014.

Next year's total worldwide revenue for voice calls is estimated to be $580 billion (£352 billion), but further growth isn't expected due to market saturation. However data revenue will increase, growing from $169 million this year at a CAGR of 9% until 2014. [Press release; report]
