Motorola Mobility has confirmed that the MOTOACTV fitness and music device - announced last month at the same time as the new RAZR smartphone - is coming to the UK next month. It’ll be stocked by sports retailer Sweatshop from the beginning of December. Current pricing is £249.99.
The MOTOACTV has a 1.6-inch touchscreen display with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. There’s 8GB of storage for music, along with an FM radio. It’s designed to strap to the wearer’s wrist and can receive calls and texts via Bluetooth from an Android phone. There’s also GPS location along with ANT+ wireless connectivity for external fitness sensors.
Fitness activities and music can be synchronised with a desktop computer.
William Ripley, general manager of Companion Products EMEA at Motorola Mobility, said “Motorola has created a new category of smart device that support your active lifestyle with the addition of MOTOACTV. Workout smarter without using multiple devices or even wires, with the first multi-activity music and fitness tracking device with the brains to push you beyond your limits.”
