Nimbuzz includes Twitter and pop-up messages in new Symbian app

Social networking aggregator Nimbuzz has launched its Symbian 2.2 client today, less than a week after launching a new BlackBerry application. The free Nimbuzz application is said to be the world's first Symbian app with 'pop up' notifications to notify users of incoming chats and events while the application runs in the background. It also incorporates full Twitter functionality alongside a number of other messaging, networking and VoIP services.

Nimbuzz recently registered its 13 millionth user and is currently growing at a rate of over a million new registrations each month.
