O2 stores in the UK won’t be selling the new Nokia Lumia smartphone.
Tech news site The Inquirer has confirmed with Nokia that it’s only supplying the Lumia 800 smartphone to the Orange, T-Mobile, Three and Vodafone networks in the UK.
The Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U will be selling the device SIM-free and on contracts - so connections via O2 will still be possible - although O2 UK won’t be offering any direct sales. Other retailers will be able to sell the phone SIM-free from next year.
Nokia’s Lumia 800 goes on sale in the UK from 16th November.
