Orange and T-Mobile's UK businesses are now officially merged

Orange T-MobileDeutsche Telekom and France Telecom have announced that their T-Mobile UK and Orange UK businesses are now a single operation.

Tom Alexander, the former CEO of Orange UK, is the Chief Executive of the new joint venture. Richard Moat, former CEO of T-Mobile UK, is Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO.

Tim Höttges, CFO of Deutsche Telekom, will be non-executive chairman for the next two years, followed by two Gervais Pellissier, Deputy CEO and CFO of France Telecom, for two years. There'll be six people on the board of directors; as well as executive directors Tom Alexander and Richard Moat there'll be two additional non-executive directors: Philipp Humm, Chief Regional Officer Europe for Deutsche Telekom, and Olaf Swantee, Executive Vice President Europe at France Telecom.
