Andy Rubin, Google’s VP of Engineering, says over 300,000 Android-powered mobile phones are now being activated every day.
The activation rate has almost doubled in the last six months and is up 50% from August’s figure of 200,000 per day.
This news comes a few days after Google revealed version 2.3 of the Android operating system… and a month after research company Gartner calculated that over a quarter of new smartphones ran Android.
