Klausner Technologies, which owns and licenses the patent for 'Visual Voicemail' on mobile phones, has filed patent infringement lawsuits against Research in Motion and Motorola. The lawsuits involve the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and Motorola CLIQ handsets. Klausner Technologies says other BlackBerry and Motorola phones with Visual Voicemail are already covered under patent licenses granted to mobile operators. Apple settled a similar patent case brought by Klausner last year and agreed to license the voicemail technology.
