Scalado introduces object removal for mobile device cameras

Mobile imaging company Scalado, which currently has its technology in over 1 billion devices worldwide, has announced a new product called simply ‘Remove’. It can automatically highlight and remove any unwanted object from a captured photo.

Scalado Remove detects movement when taking the photo, enabling users to remove people who walk in front of or behind the central subject.

Last year’s product innovations from Scalado included Rewind, which allows users to capture a perfect group shot by taking a series of photos in sequence and merging them.

Fadi Abbas, Chief Marketing Officer, vice president of Business Development and co-founder of Scalado, said “After Zero Shutter Lag, Burst, and Rewind Scalado continue leading and changing the capturing landscape by bringing in new unique and needed capturing innovations. What differentiate us is the combination of customers who believe in our superiority, leading industry partners and continuous innovations.”

Remove will be demonstrated later this month at the 2012 Mobile World Conference in Barcelona.
