SDL, a UK-based company that provides technology and services to help businesses provide tailored information for customers across multiple devices, has acquired mobile web specialist bemoko.
Bemoko, which uses its own device detection database to provide mobile web optimisation for businesses, was founded in 2007.
Mark Lancaster, the CEO of SDL, said “Delivery of content is rapidly becoming more and more complex and yet most of the current methodologies are just not capable of keeping pace. Most technology vendors are still grappling with mobile, using bolt-ons to deal with screen-size. SDL operates from 70 offices in 38 countries, serving over 1,500 enterprise customers.
