Former smartphone manufacturer BlackBerry has agreed a deal to sell its 'legacy' patents for $600 million. The company, which became a security software business when it moved away from smartphones, says it'll keep patents that are essential to its current business.

Apple and Google-owned Motorola Mobility have agreed to end their current legal actions in the USA, according to a number of reports.
The cases, which involved the alleged infringement of smartphone-related patents, began in 2010.
