A new report from mobile analysts at Juniper Research estimates that 320.3 million smartphones were shipped worldwide in the first quarter of this year.
That's a year-on-year drop of almost 6%.

Sony Mobile Communications has updated its Xperia brand with three new X-series smartphones: the lower-spec Xperia XA, the Xperia X and the premium Xperia X Performance.
All have an improved camera with ‘Predictive Hybrid Autofocus’, which is capable of tracking moving objects.

The ‘explorer edition’ of Google Glass was discontinued earlier this year - but now Sony has stepped into the market, releasing a ‘developer edition’ of the Sony SmartEyeglass.
It’ll cost £620 and is already available to order in the UK, with availability expected from March.

Sony has announced a collection of new devices at the IFA consumer electronics show.
The Sony Xperia Z3 has a 5.2-inch display and a 20.7 megapixel camera. There’s also a smaller version, the Z3 Compact.
