Telefonica and Nokia launch a 'totally green' mobile phone package

NokiaTelefónica and Nokia have launched what they describe as ‘the first totally green mobile phone offer’. It’s being launched in Spain and will later be introduced into the UK.

Nokia has created exclusive ‘green’ versions of its N8 and C7 handsets forn the Movistar network. These feature ecological applications, less packaging (all of which is recyclable), a high-efficiency phone charger and a final recycling offer.

The Nokia N8 and C7 already feature an energy-saving mode, a power-efficient AMOLED screen, an ambient light sensor and a reminder to unplug the phone charger once the phone is fully charged.
